Improving Physical Health & Wellbeing at Work
About the Speaker, Holly Bailey
Having been raised in a high-pressure sporting environment, Holly learned the value of hard work, dedication and perseverance from a very young age. Now, with over 10 years of professional experience supporting senior executives, she has worked as a community builder in several organisations, helping to not only foster a positive working environment internally but to help them grow by developing new business opportunities through a well-established network. Holly has also gathered significant experience facilitating leadership development programs for emerging female leaders through 'Play Like a Girl', a movement she founded dedicated to the empowerment of girls through sport.
Holly’s dedication to her career not only resides in the corporate sector, but on the field as a VFLW player at Port Melbourne Football Club. Many life lessons have come to Holly through sport, the most integral being the importance of wellbeing prioritisation and how to best weave it into everyday life. Holly joined the Drake Wellness Hub as a passionate wellness consultant with a focus on physical wellbeing. Her mission is to help organisations and clubs implement wellbeing solutions that genuinely help their people thrive and the Wellness Hub enables her to do just that.
“Unity and inclusion are fundamental to our roadmap out of COVID,” says Holly. “How can we come together to uplift each other? How can we utilise the collective to learn, grow and thrive? The outcome I want for everyone is to feel connected and unified, to themselves, to others and to their work.”
Overview of Presentation
Are individuals in your team or organisation struggling? How many are maintaining their usual levels of motivation, engagement, and productivity? How would you rate your workplace culture? As business influencers, there is so much that we can do to better support our teams and ensure that they have the right channels in place to thrive amid uncertainty.
This inspiring and thought-provoking session will share stories of trials, tribulations and triumphs that enable you to learn from Holly’s experiences on and off the field about how to take care of your health and wellbeing, through a sports lens. There is a lot that we can learn from the life of an athlete and apply to our everyday life, including:
- Taking control of your own wellbeing first
- Creating a supporting environment
- Influencing positivity in yourselves and those around you
- Leading the way for others to thrive
- Ingraining wellbeing into organisational culture
- Best practice when it comes to wellbeing in organisations.
