The Global Skills Matrix

The Global Skills Matrix is a globally recognised framework for administrators and HR teams that, irrespective of country, makes it possible to identify levels of work for a given role and career progression opportunities to realise the potential to an organisation of an effective administrator.

It's a game changer for an industry that is currently seen by many as ‘just a job’ and not the valuable profession that it is. It is the first global guideline that has been produced with direct and quantifiable input from the people who are at the sharp end of the profession, the administrative professionals themselves. There has never been a more important time for organisations to utilise their administrators to their full potential.

A career administrator with clear goals and objectives, combined with opportunities for personal development and career progression is a key component for achieving this.

  • Are your job descriptions up to date?
  • Do you organize administrator specific training?
  • Do you have clear career progression for your administrative teams?
  • Do they have objectives and KPIs in place for the next year?  We are delighted that the Global Skills Matrix is the winner of the Best Education or Professional Development Offering at the International and European Association 2022 Awards.  The judges described it as "... a project perfectly aligned with the mission and vision of the WA-Alliance. Clear strategy, thoroughly planned and executed.  Delivered brilliantly and measured well".

AIOP (Australia) were Delegates at the two half days online Summit in 2022 (4 hours per day). This was a chance to participate in shaping our profession throughout the world and for the future. Input-on discussion topics, views through surveys and online engagement enabled discussion to take place meaningfully.

Here is the link to the document with the meeting report and the Outcomes. Further steps and actions will be communicated as they happen, so please follow our LinkedIn Company Page and subscribe to our Newsletter for the latest updates.
