Let's celebrate our achievements at the Members only Annual General Meeting.

The National President, Heather Batchelor FAIOP, invites Members to attend the AGM which provides an opportunity to reflect on the achievements of the past year and hear of decisions that will shape the future of our organization.

After the AGM the event will include with a presentation by guest speaker Heather Baker, Founder of Baker Thompson Associates, who will join remotely from the UK. Heather will be speaking on "The Art of Communication," focusing on enhancing communication skills for professional effectiveness, covering topics like intelligent communication, relationship building, and written communication skills.

This session is aimed at empowering office professionals and is part of AIOP’s broader initiative to support skill development and career growth in administrative roles. If you’d like to attend, be sure to register before September 30, as the event is for AIOP members only

The AGM Agenda were emailed on 13 September 2024 and will be emailed again with the Zoom details on 2 October.  

The Proxy Form/Voting Paper must be received by Wednesday 2 October 2024 at 5pm AET to nationaladmin@aiop.com.au

AIOP will Launch the AIOP Administrative Award of Excellence 2025. Nominations open on 1 November.

There will be no recording available after the AGM of the guest speaker, Heather Baker.

About the Guest Speaker

Heather Baker is Founder of Baker Thompson Associates, and is a TAP.Cert Training Practitioner, who holds a Manchester University Certificate of Education and a Paris Chamber of Commerce bilingual secretarial diploma.  She is also a Certified NLP Practitioner (Neuro Linguistic Programming) whose principles she applies in the course of her work. Heather uses her skills and experience to inspire Assistants of all levels around the world to expand their skills and improve their career prospects. 

The Art of Communication

We all communicate naturally; most find it impossible not to… but we don’t always communicate effectively. This session will give you tips on how to:

• Communicate intelligently to improve relationships,
• Be truly professional and feel good about yourself
• Understand the different ways we communicate, including written communication
• Interact effectively on social media and understand techniques to influence colleagues and managers
